Characteristics:
The pathogen agent causes the appearance on the grass of marks that in a first stage are yellowish, before turning almost black in a more advanced stage of the disease. It develops at temperatures of between 10° at night and 32° during the day, and when the grass is wet (dew), formation is further helped. The disease is more serious in the event of hydric stress. To cure it, high nitrogen titre fertilisers must be used (e.g. urea dissolved in water). Some technicians believe that a weekly rolling of the green can reduce the formation of this disease by 70%.
