Characteristics:
This is a disease due to various different pathogen fungi that attack flowers, ornamental plants and vegetables. The best conditions for development are obtained in the spring and at the end of summer/start of autumn.
Symptoms:
Small orange coloured marks can be seen on the leaves, which then turn dark red and finally brown. The lower side of the leaf shows yellow marks that extend progressively. At this point the leaves dry out and fall.
Defence:
The best defence consists of preventative treatment from springtime onwards, with copper-based products.
